So it's back to School! It's been a long break for our children, and, unusually, most seem to be very happy to be getting back into some sort of new routine.
At the time of writing this, pubs and restaurants are open and seem to be doing a roaring trade, as so many of us are keen to get out and about before the good weather ends – here's hoping for an Indian Summer!

10.30am Victoria County History, current research - overseas migrants in Harwich in the 15th & 16th Century. Talk by Christopher Thornton will examine the origins of the migrants, their status, how they supported themselves, the problems they faced and how well they integrated into the local community.
